I was born and raised in the historic Hudson Valley of New York state. I grew up spending much of my time in the woods with my family and friends, going on hikes, camping, snowboarding, paintballing, and appreciating nature. My parents always promoted a culture of acceptance and compassion both inside and outside the home that carried over into a deep respect for all living things and the biodiversity of our world.

I knew I wanted to be a therapist since high school, so my education followed suit. In 2015, I earned a B.A. in psychology from SDSU then followed it up with a Master’s Degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon. Since that time, I’ve practiced therapy in residential and private practice settings, working with individuals as well as complex family systems. My therapeutic approaches include Narrative, Emotion Focused, DBT, CBT and Internal Family Systems.

I have extensive experience working with low and high socio-economic status individuals and their families, those struggling with relational distress, depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, schizophrenia, and high crisis situations. I like working with anyone struggling with low self-esteem and self-criticism, helping them better recognize their inherent strengths and worth. I also really enjoy working with romantic relationships who feel like they are stuck in a rut or believe they no longer know how to communicate with one another.

Outside the office you’ll find me surfing, spending time with my dog Burt, and going on adventures around the west coast with my partner. If I get an opportunity to go to the forest or desert, you can expect to find me camping. I also love a good book and spending time with friends.
